The Art of Honey Tasting with Canada’s Honey Sommelier

Elevate your palate and learn the art of honey tasting with Andrea Glenn, co-owner of Gibbs Honey, a 3rd generation apiary in Vankleek Hill, and Canada's first fully certified Honey Sommelier admitted to the Italian National Register.

During this workshop, you will:

  • Taste a curated selection of 5 unique single varietal honeys from around the world

  • Discover how different flowers and terroir give each honey unique characteristics and a distinct flavour profile

  • Learn the tasting methods used by experts to evaluate honey

  • Sample Mielo, Gibbs Honey's new line of all-natural non-alcoholic apéritifs

  • Talk secrets from the hive, apiary life, and the story of honey from blossom to jar

Registration includes:

  • a mini take home honey 
  • Almanac treats made with Gibbs honey 
  • Almanac cracker pallet cleansers between tastings.
