Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions apply to your use of almanacgrain.ca (“Our Website”) and to anything you buy through it from Almanac Grain (“Almanac”, “we” or “us”), including products, workshops and subscriptions. By using Our Website or placing an order, you agree to these terms.

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your personal information.

All prices are in Canadian dollars. Applicable taxes and delivery charges are added at checkout.

Our flour and baked goods are made in small batches, so colour, texture and size can vary slightly from the photos on Our Website.

Products and workshop spots are subject to availability. If a price or description on Our Website is wrong, we may cancel an order placed at that price and refund any amount you paid.

Your order is confirmed when you receive an order confirmation email from us. We may decline or cancel an order, for example if a product is no longer available or we cannot deliver to your address. If we cancel an order, we refund any amount you paid.

Payment is taken at checkout. Payments are processed through the checkout provided by our e-commerce platform, Shopify Inc.

We offer local delivery in the areas shown at checkout, and we ship elsewhere in Canada by Canada Post. Delivery times shown on Our Website are estimates.

Please check that your delivery address is correct before you place your order. Once your order has been delivered to the address you gave us, or handed to Canada Post for shipping, we are not responsible for it being lost or delayed, except where the law says otherwise.

Because we sell food, we do not accept returns.

If your order arrives damaged, spoiled or incorrect, email us at [email protected] within 7 days of delivery, with your order number and a photo. We will replace the item or refund it.

If you cancel your workshop booking at least 7 days before the workshop, we will refund you in full. If you cancel less than 7 days before, we cannot refund you, but you may give your spot to someone else by letting us know their name before the workshop.

If we cancel or reschedule a workshop, you can choose a full refund or a spot in another session.

When you subscribe, you authorize us to charge your payment method at the start of each billing period shown when you sign up, until you cancel.

You can skip a delivery or cancel your subscription in your customer account on Our Website, or by emailing us. To affect your next delivery, you need to skip or cancel before your next billing date. Cancelling stops future charges. It does not refund a billing period that has already been charged.

Items you add to an upcoming subscription order are charged and delivered with that order.

You agree to use Our Website only for lawful purposes and not to interfere with how it works.

The text, photos, recipes, logos and other content on Our Website belong to Almanac or are used with permission. You may not copy or reuse them for commercial purposes without our written permission.

We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. We will post the updated terms on Our Website with a new “Last updated” date. The terms in effect when you place an order apply to that order.

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.
