"French onion soup holds a special place in my heart. When I turned 18, my dad took me across the river to “Sterling”, this very fancy steakhouse, so I could have a glass of wine. White table cloths, maitre d's, wine cellars and waiters that brought you your cut of meat before they grilled it. It was the nicest place I’d ever been. And we started the meal with the best bowl of French onion soup I’d ever had. This loaf is a nod to that memory."
