Growing up with French Canadian family meant holidays spent chez ma tante. Crammed in tight around several tables pushed together, covered in white crochet table clothes, I would load up my plate with tourtière and homemade ketchup. Every year when the snow falls, I start thinking about this classic French Canadian dish that means Christmas to me. I am so pleased to share it with you.
Directions: Preheat oven to 350°F. Cover tourtiere loosely with tinfoil and bake for 40 min. Remove tinfoil and continue to bake for another 20 min until pastry is golden brown and flaky.
